Having been to a few festivals, I know how important it is to bring what I like to call a few self-care products.

 

It does not matter if you are staying in a tent or living it up in nearby 5-star accommodation, you need to bring a few of the necessities of life.

Number two, festival smells are not always pleasant. Fast food stalls and other facilities do not omit pleasant smells.

 

Thirdly, if the festival takes place outside, you will find yourself facing what I call summer fragrance including flowering fauna.

A fragrance should not only be rich, it should be refreshing as well.

 

Festivals are busy places. When you find yourself feeling tired, you need a pick-me-up. One of the best fixes is a refreshing scent.

Yes, I agree. Great bottle but I buy this fragrance because of its unique tones. Not only is this a great festival fragrance, but it is also one of the sexiest fragrances I have tried.

 

Nicki Minaj Onika is a must-have. I tried it because the bottle looked interesting, but bought the fragrance because I loved the scent.

 

Mandarin orange has been added for freshness. You can also count on pear, star fruit and orchid for extra interest.

 

The soft middle layer comes from water lily and osmanthus with hints of sweetness. Cedar and white musk bring on the final flourish.

 

If you are lucky enough to find the body lotion, you must buy it.

Spicy and fresh is the best way to describe the Scent For Her from Hugo Boss.

 

The first hint of freshness comes from green mandarin; only pink pepper can provide that spiciness.

 

For a long time, pink pepper was never added to women’s perfumes. It does not always work, but this is one of those occasions when it works very well.

 

The final tones of orange blossom and freesia mellow the fragrance perfectly.

 

Great for when out and about and makes the most amazing daytime fragrance.

 

Carolina Herrera Good Girl Blush

 

According to one review I read, this scent is soft and creamy.

 

It made me wonder what perfume the reviewer tried. Yes, it has a softness, but it is certainly not creamy.

 

Packed with citrus notes supercharged by bergamot, you can’t say it is creamy. The final notes of Peony are softer, but there is nothing sweet and innocent about this fragrance.

 

When you are looking for longevity, this is a fantastic scent. Is it soft and creamy or almost childlike as another reviewer would have me believe?

 

The answer is no - tender feminine hints but it is certainly a perfume with adults ‘’girls’’ in mind.

Jo Malone Wild Bluebell

 

Experienced perfumer Christine Nagel blended this perfume for Jo Malone Wild Bluebell launched in 2011 and is one of the brand’s top-sellers.

 

It is a lovely blend. If you are looking for freshness, Bluebell has so much to offer.

 

Bluebell makes me think of early morning walking on fresh dew-soaked grass. You know what I mean.

 

You can almost touch the aromatic greenness released by the morning's first sunlight. As the sun rises, the spiciness increases thanks to clove and richly scented bluebells.

 

For breakfast, you can smell persimmon and peach before notes of musk and soft white powder burst out of the bottle.

 

Bluebell by Jo Malone is a masterclass in the art of blending perfume. It is warm, spicy, fresh and everything in between. In other words, a perfectly balanced scent sensation.

What does Q from Dolce and Gabbana smell like?

 

Built from the ground upwards on a woody base, this fragrance offers so much.

 

I love the freshness of the Sicilian lemon coupled with cherry. Hints of floral notes and a slightly darker interior make this an interesting fragrance for summer festivals.

 

If you are looking for a fragrance which can also cope with warm, exotic Mediterranean nights, Dolce & Gabbana Q should be on your shopping list.

In my opinion, Her is very much an underestimated fragrance.

 

Is it a fragrance or an elixir? The first time I put it on I felt immediately my spirit lifted.

 

When you feel tired or washed out, this is a fantastic fragrance.

 

Yes, it is quintessential English, but it is so good - a first-class fragrance thanks to violets and crushed berries. The finish is one of fresh wood and golden amber.

 

When you are looking for a more unusual fragrance which you won’t come across every day, I think Burberry has the right solution.

 

Bvlgari Omnia Amethyste Eau de Toilette

 

This wonderful fragrance offers the best of everything.

 

Grapefruit and green sap provide an overture of fresh notes - the perfect opening for a festival perfume.
