Although it is exciting to see so many new men’s fragrances being launched, it does not mean that you should rush out and buy a new scent.

 

If you have found a scent that you like, there is no reason why you should not continue to enjoy it. At the same time, it has to be said trying something new is fun.

 

Don’t be afraid to experiment with new colognes or additions to your favourite brand.

 

Tips For Buying Cologne in 2023

 

When you go shopping for a new men’s fragrance, there are a few things that you should bear in mind. Let me give you a few top tips when shopping for men’s fragrances.

 

Don’t Forget About Lifestyle

 

Does the scent you are thinking about buying fit in with your lifestyle? If you work in an office, you don’t want to buy a fragrance which is too overpowering.

 

During the day, it is best to wear a cologne which is refreshing and vibrant. Look out for colognes that make an opening statement with citrus, peppermint and jasmine.

 

The citrus scent range includes grapefruit, orange, lemon and mandarin. Notice that orange flowers are not included on this list. The essential oil produced by orange flowers is often too heavy for daytime wear.

Just to make sure that you are covered for all occasions, it is best to have at least four different men’s fragrances. That does not mean your fragrance collection should break the bank.

Should you add to your collection throughout the year? Remember that fragrances don’t last forever. They are meant to be used and you should use them.

Should you buy a large or small size format? If you know that you are going to wear a fragrance more often, buying a larger size bottle is better. This is particularly true when it comes to daytime fragrances.

 

When it comes to special occasions or date night fragrances, buying a smaller size is better. That is unless you go out every night or date several times per week.

You can tell that this is a brand with experience in the fragrance industry. When it launches a new men’s fragrance, it makes sure that it launches a complete range. You can always rely on Paco Rabanne when you want a same-fragrance deodorant stick.

Joop Homme Absolute is a must-have. It is super playful but shouts out confidence at the same time. When you are looking for a going-out men’s fragrance, this is an excellent choice.

 

Joop Homme is another great choice. Please don’t let the pink bottle put you off from buying this men’s fragrance. It is extremely seductive and offers excellent longevity for a scent within this category.

 

Joop! Go Eau de Toilette should not be underestimated. Once again, an excellent backup fragrance choice great for daytime and evening wear. The freshness of Joop! Go last for a long time thanks to the addition of blood orange.

 

 

Versace Fragrances

 

Versace EROS is probably the first fragrance that springs to mind when it comes to this Italian brand. Vetiver and oak moss give this classic men’s fragrance its superpower.

 

If you have a sensitive nose, you also pick up on geranium and vanilla. A sexy scent appreciated by many women.

 

Versace EROS Flame is more intense and seductive. It contains patchouli which is one of the best-known aphrodisiacs in the world.

 

When you are a fan of Eros and the Versace brand, you should also check out Man Eau Fraiche. A great daytime scent for the office or just general wear.
